  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the apple cider, brown sugar, applesauce, and eggs until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fill each donut cavity about 2/3 full and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
