  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and extracts to the butter mixture and combine well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fill a cookie press with the cookie dough and press cookies onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Add sprinkles on top of the cookies.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a festive touch, use colored sprinkles or chocolate drizzle on top of the cookies.
  • Make sure the butter is softened for the best texture.
