- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with sour cream, mixing until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
- Pour half of the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar, and then add the remaining batter on top.
- Sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar on top.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Notes
- For extra moisture, add an additional 1/4 cup of sour cream.
- Serve warm with a dusting of powdered sugar on top.
