Creamy Sausage & Potato Chowder

A delicious and creamy chowder recipe featuring sausage and potatoes, perfect for a cozy meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound turkey bacon
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  2. In the same pot, cook the Italian sausage until browned.
  3. Add onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
  4. Stir in potatoes, chicken broth, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Add heavy cream and crumbled bacon, stirring until warm.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a thicker chowder, mash some of the potatoes.
  • Feel free to add additional vegetables such as corn or carrots.
