  • 1 packet active dry yeast

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add the bread flour and salt to the yeast mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  6. Punch down the dough and shape it into a round loaf.
  7. Place the dough on a baking sheet and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Make slashes on the top of the dough and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and crusty.
