  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. Spread chopped walnuts on the bottom of the pan.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, water, and oil; mix well.
  5. Pour batter over walnuts in the pan.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth.
  7. Add dollops of cream cheese mixture over the cake batter, then sprinkle coconut and chocolate chips on top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before serving.
