Juicy Flank Steak with Soy Marinade

Discover how to make a delicious juicy flank steak that’s marinated in savory soy sauce, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds flank steak
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag, removing excess air, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  4. Grill the steak for about 6-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.
  5. Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
  6. Serve with your choice of sides.

Notes

  • For an extra flavor burst, add a splash of sesame oil to the marinade.
  • Pair with grilled vegetables for a complete meal.
