- 1 smoked ham hock
- 1 cup dried white beans, soaked overnight
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 head of cabbage, chopped
- 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a large pot, combine the ham hock, beans, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, and broth.
