  • 4 bell peppers
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
  3. In a bowl, mix together ricotta, Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff the bell peppers with the ricotta mixture.
  5. Place stuffed peppers in a baking dish and spoon marinara sauce over the top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until golden.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
